Working with Claridge on The Vantage has been anything but a conventional building project. We started with the restoration of the historic Semaphore Water Tower and, along the way, the project grew into a nine-key boutique hotel. That brought with it heritage constraints, structural surprises, complex custom work and a significant number of changes as the design and our ambitions for the property evolved. What we have valued most about Claridge has been their willingness to work through that complexity with us. Peter, Mark and the broader team haven’t simply been builders executing a set of plans. Mark in particular has effectively lived on site and owned the project as though it were his own, carrying an enormous amount of responsibility for the detail, the trades and the day-to-day problem solving. That level of commitment has mattered enormously to us. Peter was also instrumental early on in encouraging us to think beyond simply restoring the Water Tower and consider what the broader site could become. That conversation helped shape what is now The Vantage. There have inevitably been difficult conversations and decisions on a project of this scale, but the relationship has remained collaborative and there has always been a genuine shared desire to get the outcome right rather than simply get it finished. We are incredibly proud of what has been created. There are moments throughout the building, from the major structural work to extraordinary pieces of craftsmanship and tiny details, where you can see just how much work has gone into it. We have recently moved into our new Claridge built home, which has also been nominated for a number of HIA awards, and we couldn’t be happier with the finished result or our experience with the Claridge team. From the beginning, our vision was to create a family home that not only suited our day to day needs, but also genuinely felt like our dream home. After meeting with a number of builders, we often felt our wishlist was being scaled back or that certain ideas were simply too difficult to achieve. From our first conversations with Claridge, they were open minded, collaborative and genuinely willing to work through how to make the home we wanted become a reality. Our site came with plenty of challenges, including a steep block, significant retaining requirements and a high grade bushfire zone, which makes the finished outcome even more impressive to us. Some of our favourite parts of the home are the main living and entertaining area, with the large glass features and pool integration, as well as the parents retreat. More than anything, we wanted a home that would bring our family together, and it has absolutely achieved that. We can already see the main floor becoming the centre of our daily life, and we are incredibly excited to create memories here, entertaining friends and watching the kids grow up. Throughout the process, we particularly appreciated the time and effort Claridge invested during the quoting stage to make sure pricing was accurate and transparent. It removed a lot of the stress around unexpected variations later on. We also really appreciated the quality of the workmanship and the willingness of the team to work with us to achieve what we wanted, rather than pushing us through a standard process. What stood out most was Claridge’s commitment to addressing many of the frustrations people traditionally associate with building, particularly communication, price creep and feeling like just another number. No build is ever completely perfect, but we always felt listened to, our feedback was taken seriously and the team worked hard to resolve things and continually improve the experience. Going into the process, building was something I genuinely feared and expected to be extremely stressful. In the end, it was a far smoother journey than we anticipated, with only minor speed bumps along the way. Now that the home is complete and we have moved in, the feeling is incredible and still a little surreal. We are extremely proud of what has been created and very grateful to everyone at Claridge who played a part in bringing our home to life. An easy 5 stars from us.

Claridge and their teams have been brilliant and I dont give that achievement out easily! I have been working with them for a year now and Holly & Yiannis and their team have been a pleasure to deal with. The commitment, dedication willingness to help and genuine, promise keeping team have made the process so simple and easy so far. I don't trust people easily and they continue to prove they will work hard and deliver on every promise with honesty, accountability, professionalism and a smile. The attention to detail has also been great and best of all their communication and understanding of my needs has been brilliant. Great work and big thank you to everyone in your team, leadership team, finance team, design team, construction teams and anyone I have forgotten. I've never come across a building company like this in Australia - the only ones that come close at the top tier firms I've worked with in Europe. If you get the chance to use Claridge Construction, then don't hesitate. Take it and run! They leave all other builders in the industry behind. We have just passed the PSA Pre-Construction Process phase with Claridge and could not be happier with their work so far! The team is highly knowledgeable technically and they have high understanding of the local government processes to get approvals for our build. They know exactly what information they need and who they need it from, and have always kept us in the loop with very frequent updates on how our project is going. Extra special shoutout to Holly, who's attention to detail is outstanding. Our experience with Claridge Construction so far has been exceptional. The team has been very attentive to our needs and ideas, they provided thoughtful ideas for us to consider, showing their professionalism and expertise. Our block of land is very sloping and the team was able to come up with a design that honours the slope with minimal impact on the land. We met with the team several times and were given a design & concept that allowed us to understand the best/dream case scenario, and adjust to suit our budget. We really appreciated their thorough approach in this inital phase which allowed for full transparency very early on in the process giving us confidence to progress to construction knowing it will be buildable within our budget. Every step of the way has been paired with optimal communication! We are deep in pre-construction phase now, and the team continues to keep us updated regularly with what is going on behind the scenes -- we are looking forward to construction commencing in the coming months!
